You can run enrichment on Transfer (Importr) datasets, including local and CSV-based data. This lets you enrich a list before syncing it to Salesforce, or enrich data that you never sync from Salesforce at all.

Before You Start

  • Enrichment must be enabled for your organization.
  • Any provider you intend to use must be connected on the Intelligence Providers page.
  • You need a Transfer (Importr) dataset with the records you want to enrich.
Good to Know: Enrichment Actions, the prompt picker, and target-field mapping work the same way in Transfer as they do for Salesforce datasets, so any Enrichment Action you have already created can be reused here.

Enriching a Single Record

  1. Open the Transfer (Importr) dataset that contains the record.
  2. Open the record and select the Enrich option.
  3. Choose the Enrichment Action you want to run.
  4. Map the returned values to the target fields in your dataset.
  5. Run the action; the enriched values are written back to the local record.

Mass Enriching a Dataset

  1. Open the Transfer (Importr) dataset.
  2. Select the records you want to enrich, or choose to process the whole dataset.
  3. Choose the Enrichment Action to apply.
  4. Confirm the target-field mapping for the enriched values.
  5. Start the run; DataGroomr enriches the selected records and writes the results back to the local dataset.

Reviewing Enriched Values

After the run completes, the enriched values appear on the records in the Transfer dataset. You can review them before syncing the dataset to Salesforce, so the enriched data is in place by the time the records reach your org.

Note: Credit consumption for enrichment on Transfer datasets follows the same rules as enrichment on Salesforce datasets.
