Data sources for CSV file import can originate from a local device, Salesforce, SFTP or from an AWS S3 storage. The import process is initiated by first clicking on the Data Source dropdown, select the Target Object that you wish the CSV data to be imported into and a Title for the Dataset. Dates are automatically converted into the proper Salesforce format during upload if they can be interpreted. Then push the "Select File/Folder" button and a prompt to select "Select data source" dialog will appear.

Select data source dialog displays available storage providers:

This Device

Upload a CSV file directly from your device. Files need to end with a .csv file extension.

Click on a folder or file to select it or double click on a folder to navigate inside it.

Salesforce

Point DataGroomr to pull in CSV files contained inside of Salesforce Files > Libraries. The currently logged in user needs to access to the files being associated with DataGroomr in order for this functionality to work properly.

SFTP

Select existing SFTP connection or create a new connection and select a folder that DataGroomr should pull CSV files from. Make sure to test your connection before saving to ensure that all credentials have been entered correctly. During CSV upload, you can also create new mapped fields directly without modifying your source file.

AWS S3

Auto Import and Auto Update from Cloud Folders

If a folder is selected then an option is provided to auto-upload, auto-update and auto-import new records. When enabled, DataGroomr will monitor the cloud folder and automatically parse and update/import records into the dataset being configured.
